Our Suparibaug Consumer Coop Society was established on 6 th Jan. 1949 and of late the Society completed 75 years of dedication of Services. The people of socialist minded and participants for freedom of Indian were leading in movement of foundation of the Society. In view of social and economic development of poor and economic background people from Labour area the is society was established. The branch of this society was situated in the locality of low income group. During the span of last 61 years the society has faced a lot of up and downs. In the year 1990-1991, the society was in crucial circumstances and faced economic crisis. However, the Directors of the Society made sincere efforts and strive hard to get rid of situation and ultimately succeeded in pulling our society form serious economic problem.

The Board of Director of the Society are basically social – workers and young devoted volunteers. Share enthusiastic young Directors strive hard to overcome the serious problem of the society and only due to their hard working the society could able to remove deficit of Rs. 1.4 million and on account of their excellent management the society stated earning profit slowly but surely. It is noteworthy, that even in the universal recession period; the society has maintained the business which is quite appreciable.

The society has also introduced modern management techniques and machinery to enable to provide prompt and efficient service to their valued customers. The computerized services with bar – coding system has been already stated in the society. The Society has arranged to purchase the consumer goods directly from the producers viz Hindustan lever ltd., Britania , Colgate and many others and this could able to give discount on sale at the higher side to the customers. In view of this, the society is in a position to establish mutual and cordial relation between their customer members and producers.
